Designer, Developer, Maker of things…

I have a background in interaction design, and several years’ experience in news and editorial, working for organisations such as The Times, BBC, The Telegraph and Channel 4 News. Currently I offer creative front-end development and design consultancy for branding and digital studios, both in the UK and internationally.

My specialisms are styling/layout systems, patterns and component libraries, navigation, animation and responsive layout. Favourite tools include: Craft, Wordpress, SASS, Tailwind, jQuery, Vue JS, Git, Gulp, and Webpack. I’m intrigued by the intersection of design and engineering and I’m always working to bridge that gap between disciplines.

The Reaper

Identity, Editorial, Web

“We need to laugh at Death; if we can’t raise a smile in the face of the Grim Reaper, then he will have achieved his ultimate victory.” The Reaper is an online magazine about death, a partnership between myself, writer Gary Mead and cartoonist Banx.

Our contributors range from forensic investigators, economists and historians, to world-class cartoonists from Private Eye, The New Yorker and The Financial Times.
